Hai! In this post I’ll tell you about this anime (Japanese animation) that I’m following right now, it’s called Shingeki No Kyojin or Attack on Titan, it was adapted from the manga with the same name in 2013, and it’s currently being aired on tv. The series debuted on April 6, 2013 and it has been a huge success in Japan and all over the world.  The anime tell us the story of this post apocalyptic world, where this strange human form monsters, called Titans appeared on earth, forcing humans to live inside huge protecting walls, 100 years after the apparition of the titans, humanity lives peacefully inside the walls, when all of a sudden this gigantic Titan appears and tries to break through the wall with the help of an armor like Titan, here is where the main character appears, Eren and his two best friends (Erwin and Mikasa), they suffer the attack of the titans, in fact one of them eats Eren’s mother, after this Eren and his friends decide to join the special forces that fight the titans but in the process Erens found out that he can transform into a Titan, so he uses his new found “power” to fight the titans and take back the world. It’s I think, the best anime at the moment, in fact friends that hate anime are watching it.

Hmm… I think my ideal job is to write and direct plays, It’s been a dream since I was in highschool, at that time I started to get involved a lot in drama, I was in the drama school team and I was writing plays for the school festival so I knew already that that was my future path and my ideal job. I think that to be a good writer you have to write every day, read a lot (not only plays, other books also), watch good movies and maybe attend some playwright workshops. I think I would be god at this job becase a) I’m crazy and b) because I think I have a lot to say and to write about. I think is not a job that you can find in a place, you have to work your way to it, by writing and present a play in theater, to show your work to people that maybe would like to work with you, etc.

Like… two years I read in the newspaper about this comic book that was being turn in to a movie, that was being a big success and also was being ban from Iran, that caught my eye, so I look for the book online, it is called Persepolis and tells the story about this girl Marjene (which is also the name of the author, Marjene Satrapi, so in that moment I figure out that the comic is also autobiographical) who live in Iran during the Islamic Revolution, and how she and her parents live trough that time. After I get to know the story of the book and also why it was being ban (the idea of a story about the Islamic revolution, didn’t please the Iran government, lots of atrocities occur during that time) I decided to bought it in Amazon, because in Chile there were no copies, not even in Spanish, after three weeks or so it arrived, and it was wonderful, the drawing style is only in black and white, and how she draws (Marjene Satrapi also did the drawings in the comic book) is really simple, but she managed to capture both the good moments and those of suffering.

           

A C0UNTRY 1 W0ULD L1K3 T0 VI$1T

I would like to visit the United States, but specially New York. In fact, I'm going there this October, at the end of the month. I’m going because is like a dream for me and for my sister (I’m going with her, in fact she is paying for the trip) to be there, is like the “center” of the world, where everything happens and everything is possible, where you can meet people from all over the world and see some interesting stuff. I think I know some stuff about New York, but maybe when I arrive there, it will be completely different. The things I know is that is full of people, and there are some cool sightseeing to do like: the MET (the Metropolitan Museum), Broadway (we want to watch at least two plays), Liberty Island (We don’t really know if we are going or not, because a friend of us told us that it requires a full day to visit it, and is not that great either). Also we’re going to Central Park (our hostel is near central park), we (my sister and me) want to go to all the places I mentioned before, but we don’t know if we are going to have the time to do so. The second part of the trip is to visit NYU. I would like to know if my career is available, and check if I can take some courses there, I would love to study in New York.
